Why Noorana Exists
As a Montessori leader, noorana Founder and CEO Tina Patel saw the negative toll that outdated systems can take on schools:
When administrators work nights and weekends just to keep up. When teachers spend more time on paperwork than with children. When parents struggle to see and understand the impact of the Montessori method.
What we care about

Protecting the child's experience.
Every feature is designed to track and collect meaningful data and keep educators focused on children, not paperwork.

Sustaining Educators.
Administrators and teachers deserve to find clarity, balance, and joy in their work—not burnout.

Building financially stable schools.
Strong finances are the foundation for strong futures: for schools, staff, and the children they serve.

Strengthening trust with parents.
The Montessori community thrives when
parents understand and feel connected to their child’s journey.

Evolving with the community.
We listen, adapt, and grow with Montessori leaders so noorana always reflects their real needs.

Sharing the same goal.
Montessori administrators, educators, and parents all share the same goal:
supporting the child. Noorana's mission is to help them achieve that goal as easily
and seamlessly as possible.

Meet EDNA, the company behind noorana
Education DNA (EDNA) was founded by Tina Patel on a belief that goes beyond school software: every child deserves a profile that follows them, not the other way around.
Right now, a child’s story gets scattered. One system holds their school records. Another holds their health information. Parents keep their own notes. Guides keep theirs. When a child moves on, most of that story stays behind, and the next person supporting them has to start from zero.
EDNA exists to change that. It’s built around a simple, Montessori-rooted idea: follow the child. Not just during the school day, and not just within one building, but across their whole life, wherever they go and whoever is supporting them.
At the center of EDNA is a data-driven profile that travels with the child. It’s built from input by the people who actually know them, guides, parents, and others in their life, so the picture of who a child is stays connected and whole, instead of getting rebuilt from scratch at every new stage. The goal isn’t just better records. It’s better opportunity: when the people supporting a child can see their fuller story, they can meet that child where they actually are.
EDNA’s first pillar: noorana. It’s the flagship platform where that vision becomes real: a web and mobile experience purpose-built for holistic Montessori school management, developed to serve entire school communities, not just the front office.
